Pench National stop, settling in the lower southern spans of the satpuda slopes is named after Pench stream, winding through the recreation center from north to south. It is situated on the southern limit of Madhya Pradesh, circumscribing Maharashtra, in the locale of Seoni and Chhindwara.Pench National Park, including 758 SQ Kms, out of which a center range of 299 sq km of Indira Priyadarshini Pench National Park and the Mowgli Pench Sanctuary and staying 464 sq km of pench national stop is the cushion zone. 

The range of the present tiger save has a radiant history. A depiction of its characteristic riches and extravagance happens in Ain-I-Akbari. Pench Tiger Reserve and its neighborhood is the first setting of Rudyard Kipling's most renowned work, The Jungle Book.
